Based in Berlin and Istanbul, DJ, curator, queer-activist, Ipek Ipekcioglu produces an extraordinary warm, dynamic and organic interpretation of electronic music melted with the melodramatic sound of Anatolia/Mesopotamia, Turkey, Orient & the Middle East.

Ipek Ipekcioglu received German Record Critics' Award for her Beyond Istanbul Albums @ Trikont and was named as a musical and political "visionary" by the Süddeutsche Zeitung. and cited as a representative for “ideologically blinker-free living” by Rolling Stone Magazine.

The socialy- critical minded producer is an activist and member of female: pressure network and has a strong social-critical agenda related to women, immigrant, queer and gender topics which she transports into her productions. Ipek has been pushing boundaries within the ethnic & electronic music scene and communities for over two decades. This vibrant mix and her work have earned her a place as “one of Berlin’s most important cultural contributors”
